Technically, OpenAI has developed a library of native components and a compiler that generates the interface during response processing, without requiring the completion of the entire operation. This allows users to see results progressively.
Response speed has also been improved: GPT-6 can start providing an answer while still engaged in reasoning. According to OpenAI’s internal data, GPT-6 Instant responds 44% faster than the previous GPT-5.6 Instant in searches requiring web access.
What changes and what are the effects
On the security front, OpenAI states that it has improved resistance to attacks aimed at bypassing model protections, especially those that develop over the course of a prolonged conversation. GPT-6 was trained to recognize risks by analyzing the overall context of the chat, not just the single message.
GPT-6 with Intelligent UI is already active for subscribers on Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans. Starting within hours, the update will be extended to Free and Go plans as well. Users on the free plan will receive GPT-6 Luna, while subscribers to higher-tier plans will have access to GPT-6 Sol: both are optimized for daily conversation but with different capabilities. The models powering Work and Codex functions have not been modified by this update.
